Big Boy Bed
We moved Noah to his BIG BOY BED yesterday, and he couldn't be happier! Doug and I were pretty nervous about it, as we kept thinking the worse...meaning we thought that Noah was going to think that being in this bed meant that he could get in and out of bed as he pleased. Well, we were pleasantly surprised when he slept the entire night without trying to get out of bed once! AND, when morning came, he called my name and waited for me to come in his room before he climbed out...such a good boy! I just hope that these manners continue :). Now I just have to get him potty trained...I am not have the best of luck in this department...any suggestions?!?!?

Yay! A big boy bed! What a sweetie. I wish I could help with some wonderful potty training tips. I'll be excited to hear how it goes, you are always so good about these things! :)
He looks like such a big boy! Stop it! Isn't funny how putting them in a "big bed" changes your whole perception of them?! That's so cute how he stayed in bed and called for you! As far as potty training goes, I think that putting him in a big bed will help him as far as feeling like a "big boy" and wanting to go potty too. At first when I was potty training sophie, it wasn't working. She was not interested at all. Then one day she was like "I want to wear panties". So I guess it's all in their own due time! And I'm all about BRIBERIES! I don't know how I would've trained her without them! The first day I stripped her naked and gave her juice all day and constantly asked her if she needed to "go". And I bought her way cool foaming soap she could use after she went potty. Good luck with Noah! He's so smart I'm sure he'll do fine. And I've heard that boys can be a little trickier to train, so I may be asking you for advice here in a few months!!
ANGIE---YOUR "BABY" IS GROWING UP TOO FAST. POTTY TRAINING WILL FALL INTO PLACE!!!! GRANDMA J
Very cute pictures-what a big boy!
Thats awesome that he loved it so much. I know Warren has been in his since January and he still yells and asks if he can get out for bedtime and naps. Its so nice.
Twas Dad's, Twas Yours, and now it's Noahs. Good to see it is getting passed down through the generations!!!! And......it still is in really good shape. I knew he would be ok in the BIG BOY BED!!!
How exciting for Noah! What a big boy he is. As for the potty training, I was talking to my very experienced (8 kids) sister-in-law about it and she told me that they pretty much let you know when they are ready. And that boys are usually older and take a lot longer. We bought Dylan a potty of his own and he doesn't quite get that he needs to take his diaper off first! All in due time I guess.
