Pretty in Pink

Leah is definitely all girl in that she *LOVES* PINK! For all of her meals, she insists on having the pink plate, pink bowl, pink cup, PINK UTENSILS! And when it comes to clothes...oh boy...she, again, insists on wearing pink. I usually have to trick her in to wearing something else so that her non-pink clothes get worn before she outgrows them! She dressed herself yesterday in this lovely outfit...I mean, how much more pink can she wear?!?! From the pink elastic in her hair {under the flower!} to the pink nail polish on her toes...oh my! And she wasn't even wearing her pink sunglasses in these pictures...so, yes, she can always add something more! She makes pink look really good, that's for sure :).

S'mores

We have been having a lot of BBQs lately, and for dessert we have been roasting some marshmallows and making S'mores! They are our new favorite treat and they are gooooood! I think it's just great how the there is NO way that the kids can eat these without making a huge mess! That's why we always eat them outside...in our swimsuits ;). That way I can just spray them off when we're done! Easy cleanup :).

Oh, and Isaac looks forward to the day that he can have one too!

Car Seat Cover

I miss sewing...really, I do! I SO wish that I had the time to sew like I used to, but my priorities are with my precious little ones. So, before Isaac was born, I bought some fabric to make a car seat cover. The fabric sat for over 3 months! We moved...and it still sat there. Then Isaac was born...and it still sat there. Well, one afternoon I decided that I had better make this cover now before it is too late! It only took me an hour to make...ONE HOUR! And let me tell you...I enjoyed every moment when I made this. That's how much I love sewing...it is so satisfying to me. I realized when I made this that I CAN find time to sew if I really want to! Anyway, here's the result. I think that it turned out rather nicely. I just love this fabric and I especially love the ric-rac around the edges!

My Little Shadow

Ever since Noah was a little guy, he would always stay close to me. If I was in the kitchen, he would bring whatever he was playing with to the kitchen so that he could be by me. He has always been this way, and I really don't mind it one bit. In our other house, it was a bit smaller, so we were all used to being close to one another anyway. But, since we have moved, we have more space and we have made a room in the house designated for all of the toys...you know, so they aren't EVERYWHERE! Well, even with more room in our house, Noah still loves playing with us close by. He just loves to hang out with us and talking and playing with us by his side. He enjoys playing with Leah, but I think he prefers to be by us. I can always count on Noah being close by...he definitely is my little shadow :).

*Big Girl*

So, back in February, I bought Leah her first pair of big girl panties! She was acting interested, so I followed her lead and started to potty train her. I didn't push her at all, and through the course of a few months, she gradually figured it out and by the time we moved she really started to get a hang of going potty on the actual potty. Well, this past month things have really clicked and she has been wearing her little panties whenever she is awake with *very* few accidents. She actually went this past week with no accidents at all! Go Leah! AND, she has been great when we are out and about and lets me know whenever she has to go, which was a little bit harder for her to grasp and understand. Things are easy at home because she can just go by herself, but when we're away from home, she would constantly have accidents...this has been my challenge with her. BUT, things are good now with that, and I just need to work on no diapers during nap/bedtime.

I'm so proud of our Leah and this great accomplishment! I think that she's pretty proud of herself to, judging by the smile on that cute little face!

Isaac ~ 2 Months

I took Isaac to the doctor yesterday and his stats are:

Weight ~ 11 lbs 14 oz. {54%}
Height ~ 23.5 inches {70%}

He is growing every day before our very eyes. It's amazing to me how fast these kids grow during those first few months...crazy! Isaac has been such a joy and we can't get enough of his cuteness! Here's what he's been up to this past month:

~ He is *such* a happy baby. He is constantly smiling and is starting to coo and giggle. He loves all of the attention that we all give him and the only time he really cries is when he's by himself or hungry.
~ He is a great little eater and he has kept me busy with his demands for food! No wonder he's getting so big so fast ;).
~ He is an *amazing* sleeper! He takes 2 really good naps during the day and he sleeps 8 hours straight at night! Plus he can sleep amongst all the noise in our house...he usually naps in my arms during the day and he isn't at all phased by Noah and Leah playing.
~ He is so loved by Noah and Leah...they really can't get enough of him! Noah and Leah both call him their "little buddy" and they both love holding and loving on him. Needless to say, Isaac gets plenty of hugs and kisses each and every day!
~ He recently discovered his hand and he'll spend time watching it and moving it around slowly. It's so funny to watch him concentrate SO hard on doing this!
~ He definitely looks more and more like his Daddy every day! The only real difference is his blue eyes {I hope that they stay!}.

I really have nothing to complain about with Isaac. I know that all babies are good, but he has *really* been a good baby for us. Here are some pictures from this past month.

Kennecott Copper Mine

Doug has been wanting to go to Kennecott Copper Mine for quite some time, so we were thrilled when heard that they were allowing visitors for free for one week. I had been there when I was a kid, and I remember it being one of the greatest field trips that I went on. Doug had never been before, so this was a first for the children and him.

It was amazing to see the mine in person...it is HUGE!!! I mean, my heart started to race when I first looked over the railing to see it...it's an amazing sight! Noah was in awe as he watched the trucks at work...this boy LOVES trucks, so this was definitely the outing for him! Leah had fun running around, and I had fun making sure she didn't get too far away from me! Keeping that little one safe was definitely my first priority on this trip! One of the highlights for us was seeing this gigantic tire that is the actual size of the tires on the massive trucks that are used in the mine...they are SO incredibly big that it's hard to imagine how big the trucks actually are in person. Amazing, I tell you!

The trucks working in the mine...
Noah and Leah standing in front of the MASSIVE tire...seriously, it's HUGE!

Leah *trying* to look at the trucks...
...there you go!

Heritage Park 2010

We went to Heritage Park with Aunt Annie, Connor, and Melanie a few weeks ago. Melanie is from Germany and is staying with Annie and her fam for 6 weeks! Annie has been taking her around to all of the sites in Utah, and we were so happy to be part of this little adventure :).

Noah remembers coming here last year and he was so excited to come again and see all of the animals and be involved in all of the little activities that they have there. We had fun riding horses {well, Noah did...Leah...not so much}, petting the baby lamb {who was born the same week as Isaac!}, riding the train, sifting for gold, and eating CANDY!! Candy makes any outing wonderful in this family! We had a great time and I think that we are going to have to make this a yearly tradition...so, we can't wait until next year!

I loved seeing and petting the animals...they were all so kind and so cute, especially the baby lamb!
Noah so looked forward to riding the pony on this outing. He was excited that he was able to ride the biggest one.

Annie, Connor, and Melanie on the train ride.
Noah showing off his gold that he found in the river. We took the gold to the bank and cashed it in for some candy.
Leah and Connor enjoying their suckers...Leah is telling Connor all of the colors on hers.
CUTE kids!!
Me and my babes. Isaac was a good little guy and slept the entire time!
