First Grader
I was so excited to see Noah's school picture this year. It's totally him...forced smile and all.
Noah had his first parent/teacher conference last week. He came along with Doug and I to meet with his teacher, who informed us of how well he is doing! On a scale of 1-4, he got a 4 on everything (reading, math, participation...). When I asked her if we needed to work on anything, all she said was to focus on writing lower case "y"'s, since Noah usually writes them all upper case. Alrighty then...we'll work on it!!
Doug and I are so proud of Noah and how well he is doing in school. He never complains about anything and thoroughly enjoys his class. If you were to ask him what he likes the most about school, he'd say recess! No surprise there :). I'm so grateful that he is going to such a great school an had such a great teacher this year. Makes me happy to know that he has made the adjustment to going to school all day so well. I'll admit that I was a bit worried, but I'm not anymore. The only problem is that I haven't adjusted to him being gone all day. I miss him like crazy each and every day! I know, I KNOW, that he is where he is supposed to be, but that doesn't mean that I don't wish he was home with me. He's a special little guy and I so look forward to the moment that he walks in the door after school every day! Having him home with me is where I feel the most comfortable, but to know that he is making the most of being at school makes me feel so great. I love this little guy SO much it hurts! I just still can't believe that I have a first grader! And a very cute first grader, at that!
