A Day With The Garces'

My sister-in-law, Steffanie, is at Girls Camp this week and she asked me to watch three of her kids, Erin, Alex, and Jacob, today while she was gone. I honestly had such a fun day with them! We played games, watched Cars (my first time seeing it...LOVED it!), ate, played, and went swimming. After we went swimming we came to my house so that Erin and Alex could play the Wii for a while. They loved to play the boxing game and I think that it really wore them out...they will definitely sleep well tonight! They are such good kids and I had such a wonderful time with them today!!

All of them adore Noah, and he absolutely adores them! Noah especially had a fun time with Jacob, since they are only 11 months apart! I was glad that Noah was able to spend the day with him today...we will definitely have to get them together more often since they had such a fun time! Here is a picture that I found of Jacob and Noah from Mother's Day in matching outfits (How cute is that?!?!):

We LOVE Baby Neptune

Noah has had absolutely NO interest in TV or movies since he was born. We have two Baby Einstein movies, and every couple of weeks I will put one in to see if it sparks any sort of interest with him, and the outcome is always negative....until today!! I put in Baby Neptune for Noah this afternoon and he sat on the floor and watched the ENTIRE video!! He was laughing and singing along with the video the entire time. I was AMAZED! Here are some pictures of this turning point...

Fridge Invader

I came across this picture today of Noah...isn't that the funniest thing! He can be a little stinker sometimes! He definitely loves to get into EVERYTHING!

Mmmmm....Spaghetti!

We let Noah feed himself spaghetti the other night. It was a bit of a mess, but he had such a good time feeding himself. He is becoming more and more independent and loves to do things all on his own! I miss doing these little things for him, but I know that it is a good thing to let him learn to do things on his own....I guess...

Jacob Family Reunion

Yesterday we went to the Jacob Family Reunion at a house, or, should I say resort, up Hobble Creek Canyon. I was able to go up earlier that day with my sister-in-law Andrea and Doug came up later that evening because he had to work. Ok, now the house where the reunion was, was unbelievable! Some of the features included a huge gym, a huge INDOOR junble gym, a huge social area with a ping-pong table and pool table, enough bedrooms to sleep 44 people, and a beautiful lake with swans. It was amazing!

It was great to be able to meet some of Doug's cousins (he has a TON of cousins!!). There were a lot of little kids there too, so Noah was able to play and have some fun of his own. It was a great day! Here are some pictures:

Andrea sent me this picture of Noah and Connor holding hands! How cute is that?!?!

Noah going down the slide on the INDOOR (can you believe that?!?!) Jungle Gym:

Maya, Noah, and Alex playing outside. Maya so cute with Noah! She is so nurturing and she reminds me of me when I was her age.

Kristen (Doug's sister) and my niece Maren eating ice cream by the little lake. I thought this was a cute Mommy Daughter picture.

Cute Erin posing for the camera:

Water Baby

We took Noah to the Lehi Legacy Pool today to go swimming and we had such a fun time. That pool is amazing and it is so kid friendly. Most of the pool is indoors, which is nice since it is so hot outside! They have a huge play area inside that has a HUGE bucket that fills with water and then tips over and dumps water everywhere....it's pretty cool. It was a fun day :). They are opening the pool where we live pretty soon and I am sure that Noah and I will spend a lot of time over there since he LOVES the water. Here are some pictures from today.

California Trip, Part 2

We arrived home late last night, and we are so glad to be home. We had a wonderful time on our vacation, but it is so nice to be home and comfortable with your surroundings. Plus it is good to sleep in our own bed!!!

Let's see, well on Saturday Doug and I woke up not know what we were going to do that day. We had been contemplating about going to Disneyland the entire trip, and that morning we looked at eachother and decided that we should just go! So, we did! We hurried and packed everything up and headed to Disneyland for the day! We are so glad that we went because we had such a fun time. We were a little nervous that Noah was going to be fussy, but then we remembered how good he was at Seaworld, so we were pretty confident that he would be good...and he was!! He was so good! He was able to go on a lot of rides and he thoroughly enjoyed himself, although he did not like the characters at all, which is understandable. I would be scared too if I didn't know what they were! We got that pass that allowed us to go to both parks, so we went back and forth so that we could enjoy everything. I think our favorite ride is definitely Screamin', the roller coaster in California Adventure. That ride is AWESOME! Doug and I took turns going on it a number of times. We were able to go on a lot of rides because we were able to get the single rider passes, which meant we could go to the very front of the line on pretty much every ride. The firework show in the evening was amazing and Noah was so fascinated with it...they play music throughout the whole park and the fireworks go along with the music...it was so neat! It was definitely a wonderful day that I will always remember!

Yesterday we went to the Newport Beach Temple, which is absolutely beautiful! Then we went to the beach for a little while and got some pictures of Noah walking in the sand. If we would have let him, he would have went and jumped right in, but we were pretty cautious and held on to him the entire time. Here are my favorite pictures from the beach:

Then, to top off the trip, we went to The Cheesecake Factory! Mmmmmm..... It was sooo... good!!! They need to build one here for sure! Hopefully that will happen soon :).

Check out the below album to see the rest of the pictures from our trip (at the bottom). It was definitely a trip that I will always remember!!!

California Trip

We have been in San Diego the past few days and we are having a fabulous time! The first day we went to a San Diego Padres vs. Atlanta Braves baseball game, which was amazing! Our seats were one row from the top of the stadium, but they were actually pretty decent seats. We had a great view of the entire field and we were able to see everything pretty well. Noah was extremely good and we made friends with a sweet couple from San Diego...they shared their yummy popcorn with us and Noah kept smiling at the lady, which made her day. Unfortunately, the Padres lost, but it was still a great game!

The next day we went to Seaworld for the day and had a wonderful time. We went to a total of 4 shows and all of them were amazing. We really enjoyed the Shamu shows (Believe and Shamu Rocks)...it is amazing to me how they train these amazing whales to do what they do during these shows. Noah had a great time and he, again, was so good! He loved going to all of the shows and he would clap when everyone else was clapping. He slept very well that night for sure! Here are some pictures from the past few days. I will post some more pictures once we get home.
