Christmas Day

I am truely so grateful for all that I have and to have such a wonderful family...what more could anyone ask for for Christmas?!?!? I am thankful that I was able to spend Christmas Day with my beautiful family and just relax and play. That is definitely the way that Christmas should be spent :).

We really did have a wonderful Christmas this year. We spend Christmas Eve with my mom and dad and had a fabulous time. My mom made my favorite meal, homemade lasagna {yummy!!}, and we spend the evening showering Noah with gifts. It took Noah a while to realize what was going on, but he had a fun time. My mom and dad gave him some pj's, a book, and a red wagon! I know that he is going to LOVE his wagon come summer time! My parents gave Doug and I a new set of pans!! I was so excited...I am so excited to start using them!! Thank you mom and dad for a wonderful evening!!!

On Christmas morning, Noah was a good boy and slept in until 9:30!! Doug and I were so excited to take Noah downstairs because we knew that he was going to LOVE his "big" gift...a toy kitchen! We came downstairs and Noah ran over to the kitchen and started to laugh and clap his hands! He was so excited!!! Needless to say, he spend the entire day playing with his new kitchen. He would actually get a little upset when we pulled him aside to open up another gift. I am so glad that he likes it...thank you Santa!!!

Noah also got a tool box, books, a red wagon, puzzles, a vacuum, and some clothes. He is going to have so much fun playing with his new toys. He has definitely grown out of his baby toys, so we are thankful that he got some new toys to entertain him.

We spent the evening with Doug's family and had a wonderful time...good food, good company! The highlight of the evening was when Doug's sister told us that she was pregnant! We are so excited for them!!! Noah had a wonderful time playing with all of the cousins and opening the Pinata {a Smith Family tradition!}.

After a fun filled day, we were happy to come home and get some rest. We truely had a wonderful Christmas and we hope that everyone else did too!! I will admit that I am a little sad that Christmas is over, but I look forward to next year when we have another baby to share this wonderful holiday with our family!

I have posted the rest of our Christmas pictures on the right sidebar, if your interested :).

"Smile"

Lately, whenever we ask Noah to smile for the camera, this is the expression that we get! He shuts his eyes really tight and does the cheesiest smile! Too funny!!!

Santa and Noah

We took Noah to see Santa Claus today. I kind of expected him to cry, but he was so good! He is such a good boy...I have a feeling that Santa will visit him this year :).

Fingerprint Christmas Tree

Here is Noah's Fingerprint Christmas Tree that he made at our play group this week. Yes, I helped him, but he was very focused when we were creating this little masterpiece. I just had to frame it for all to see who come to our house :).

Oh Christmas Tree

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas is by far my favorite time of year! I love the feeling of Christmas and it is such a wonderful time of year to be with your family and enjoy the spirit of Christmas! I hope that this month doesn't go by too fast!

On Saturday, we went to get our Christmas Tree! It was snowing like crazy, but we were determined to find a tree this weekend. We ended up going to FIVE different places before we found a tree that we liked for a reasonable price. It is unbelievable to me how much the tree lots sell their trees for ($50-$80! Are you kidding me?!?!?)!!! We ended up getting our tree at Lowes and we are very happy with it. I didn't get any pictures of us actually getting the tree, but here is a picture of Noah all bundled up in the car with Snuggles (this was a true family event!).

We spent tonight setting up our tree and decorating it. Noah was a great little helper and I think that our tree turned out very nice and pretty! Let the Holidays begin!

Here is the finished product!

I Love My UTES!!!

Despite a very sad loss to that team down south on Saturday, I think that this season was great!! I was skeptical at first, but the Utes pulled through and we had a lot of really great games!! I will ALWAYS love my Utes and will root for them through thick and thin! Thanks for a great, and fun, football season.

Here is a picture of Doug and I at the last home game. I am so excited for the last home game next year, against that team down south, when we KICK some serious booty! Bring it on!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had dinner at my parent's house this year and it was sooo... yummy! Thank you mom for making such a wonderful Turkey Dinner! We decided to make Noah his own little plate of food and let him feed himself. It was a little messy, but he thoroughly enjoyed being in complete control.

"I'm a big boy and I can do this all by myself!"

Here's Noah pulling a cute grin! He's so funny! Doug and my dad putting a computer together after dinner. What a good way to burn off those calories!
Here is a side shot of me after Turkey Dinner. It is kind of a bad angle, but you can see that our little girl is really starting to grow. I am only 22 weeks along and I am showing so much more then I was when I was pregnant with Noah at this time! Crazy!

IT'S A...

I apologize for not posting this yesterday. I wanted to talk to as many people in our family as possible before I posted the exciting news on our blog. First things first...after our ultrasound today the doctor told us that everything looks good with the baby and it is developing beautifully! That is what is important to us....a healthy baby!

Now, what are we having??? According to the poll, 43 % think it is a boy and 56% think that it is a girl. Well, Noah is going to have a Baby SISTER!!! We're having a girl! Doug and I are very excited and we can't wait to meet her! I don't have anything for a girl (besides some onsies and a few sleepers), so I am going to have to do some shopping to prepare for this little princess! Only four more months until we meet our new little addition! We are very excited.

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound.

This is a face shot of our little girl. The doctor was unable to get a side profile view...this picture is looking straight down on her face. She looks pretty cute :).

Baby's Foot
Here is the proof that she is a girl. There are no "parts" to indicate a boy.

Mini Doug

Noah is definitely a "Daddy's Boy"! He adores Doug! I sometimes have to be careful not to say "Daddy" during the day because it makes Noah think that Daddy is coming home. He will sometimes get really upset once he realizes that Daddy isn't coming home for a while. What can I say? He LOVES his Daddy!!

Today, Noah was being very quiet, so I looked around the corner and found him with Doug's hat on and he was wearing Doug's shoes. Then he started to say "Daddy" over and over again. I think that it is adorable that he loves Doug as much as he does. He is so sweet!

Making Banana Bread with Mama

Noah helped me make some Banana Bread tonight, his favorite, and he was such a great little helper. He loves to watch me mix everything together while he sits in his highchair. While it was baking, he would go and sit right in front of the oven and watch it. As soon as the timer went off he did something that he has never done before. He went over and got out the oven mit, put it on his hand, and stood right in front of the oven ready to take it out! He is so observant! He knows that he can't be anywhere near the oven when I open it, so he gave me his oven mit so that I could get it out. I just had to share these pictures :).

Noah ready to take the bread out once it was done.

Close up of Noah.

Fall Crafts

I wanted to share the crafts that I made at my class this week. I don't have any decorations for our house for the Fall season, so I made two things at this class.

October 2007

Here are some pictures from October. There are some videos at the end that are pretty cute :). Enjoy!

Happy Halloween

I hope that everyone had a Happy Halloween! We started our day off by visiting Doug at work. Everyone in Doug's office thought that Noah was so cute in his Halloween costume. Everyone gave Noah candy, which he loved, although Daddy kept most of the candy for himself :). After going to lunch with Doug, Noah and I went to my parent's house for the afternoon. I took a ton of pictures of Noah in their backyard and Noah played in the leaves. He had so much fun! Then we went to my Grandma and Grandpa Jentzsch's house to visit. Brittany, my cousin, and her little girl, McKenzie, were there too, so we were able to visit with them for a while. We ended the evening by going to Doug's parent's house for some Homemade Chili (yum!) and then we just spent the night hanging out with our family. We had a wonderful day and we look forward to next year when we will have another kiddie to dress up :).

Here are some pictures of Noah in his costume. There is also a side shot of me that shows my little baby bump :).

Gardner Village and a Halloween/Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to Gardner Village with Doug's family. I love all of the little shops there and it is so much fun to walk around, especially at Halloween when there are witches roaming the paths. I especially enjoyed the Carmeled Apple from the candy store :).

Here is a family picture and a picture of the cousins.

Afterwards, we all went to Andrea's house for a Halloween Party and to celebrate Karin's Birthday. I think the best part of the party was when Steffanie, Doug's sister, showed us her Halloween costume. She is Mrs. Incredible to go along with her little boy Jacob. How cute is this?!?!
Here is a cute picture that I took of Connor. He is getting so big!

Good food, good company, what more could you ask for? It was a wonderful day :).

Where is Noah?

I was doing laundry today, and after I put a load in I came out and couldn’t find Noah anywhere. I could hear him giggling, but I had no idea where he was! I started calling his name, but I still couldn’t find him! Right before I started to panic, I looked over at the drying rack that was covered with clothes and saw Noah poking his head out! He was laughing so hard because he knew that he had found the perfect hiding place. I hope that this isn’t the start of a daily hide-and-go-seek game! I just had to take some pictures of him hiding…

Imagination

Noah has been using his little imagination all of the time lately. I have so much fun watching him "fix" his Noah's Ark boat, or ZOOM his car around the kitchen, or share his cup of "water" with his teddy bear!! Here are some pictures of Noah sharing with Snuggles (his bear)...so cute!

Week 17

Well, I am 17 weeks prego, so we are almost half way there! This pregnancy has gone by so slowly for me, mainly because I have been so sick. But, the good news is that I am FINALLY feeling better! Yay! I sometimes get sick at night, but nothing as bad as it has been the past 10 weeks!! I have finally gained some weight, but I am not showing at all. Maybe on my next post I will have some "look at my belly grow" pictures to share :). I also haven't felt the baby move yet, but I am sure that will happen within the next few weeks. So exciting!!!

I went to the doctor today and Dr. Aagard said that everything looks good and that the babies heart is really strong. Our next appointment is on November 16....this is the BIG appointment when we have our ultrasound. Like I have said before, I just want a healthy little baby and I am so excited to be able to "see" this person that is growing inside of me. We will find out if Noah is having a brother or sister too! I am excited!!

Here is a picture of Noah from the other day...just for fun :).

Little Helper

Noah helped Grandpa Fowler in the yard today. He is such a good little helper!!
