#4

Doug and I are expecting Baby #4...due April 24, 2012! We are beyond thrilled, as are the kids! We have our ultrasound in two weeks, and we are beyond excited to find out what we are having. Of course, the kids are divided in what they *want*...Noah wants another brother and Leah wants a baby sister. We have been trying to explain to them that it doesn't matter what it is and that we'll be happy with whatever. Doug and I could honestly care less. I think that it would be nice to have a girl, just to have some balance...but my boys are so, SO, wonderful, so I wouldn't mind at all having another one :). Only time will tell.

I am 19 weeks along and am finally feeling good! A VERY good thing, if you ask me. Up until a few weeks ago, I have been very sick...thus the delay in posting the news here. But now I'm feeling a LOT better, so hopefully I'll keep the blog more up to date. So, here's to having another baby...we can't wait to meet this little bundle of joy!

Thanksgiving ~ 2011

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with Doug's family. The food was absolutely delicious! I honestly had to force myself to stop eating...it was that good! Oh my...I was so, SO, full afterwards, but that's the way that it is supposed to be on Thanksgiving, right? Aside from the great food, we had a wonderful time playing with the cousins and just chilling out...a perfect day! I am so thankful for so many things, but more than anything, I am thankful for my wonderful family...ALL of my family! We are so lucky for the many people in our lives and we consider ourselves so blessed each and every one of them! Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn't take too many pictures, but here are some that I did get. Noah and Leah were way too busy having fun to sit still for a quick picture...I don't really blame them ;).

Our family.

Annie made these adorable Oreo Turkeys for the kids. They were a hit.Isaac especially loved his turkey...seeing that Oreo's are his favorite cookie and all :).

Cute little Shea.Leah finally took a break from playing to play the piano with Grandma Smith. Leah LOVES music...she especially loves playing with Grandma! I'm glad that I was able to capture this precious moment between them.

November Happenings

This November, we have spent most of our days inside laying low...and I don't mind one bit! We have had such a busy summer and early fall, that I was OK with just hanging out at home...I'm a total home body anyway! I also didn't take many pictures, but here are some of the ones that I did take of the kiddos...

Noah and Leah get so excited when I pull clothes out of the dryer...they hurry and sit on the couch and I dump the big pile of TOASTY WARM clothes right on them. My mom used to do the same with me when I was a kid, and I loved it! They will sit there under the clothes for a good 30 minutes, or until they are not warm any more. It's a good time for me to get something done around the house ;).Leah is still completely obsessed with dressing up...heck, she's obsessed with anything girly! Not a day goes by that she doesn't dress up, play with Barbie's, play with her babies, etc... Noah has recently discovered that salad is actually good! I bought some Catalina dressing {my fav} and he had a taste of it one night and was totally hooked! Now he is constantly asking for salad and veggies with the "yummy dressing"...now if he can only convince his dad that salad really is good! Doubt it!Isaac has been miserable this month due to his teeth coming in. So, SO, sad...breaks my heart. He has found a lot of comfort from his daddy...in fact, he has been quite attached to Doug this past month. I don't blame him...his daddy is pretty dang awesome.Despite the pain from teething, Isaac still cracks us up on a daily basis. Silly boy!He has also become completely obsessed with shoes...he's obviously been spending a lot of time with his big sister! Ha!How cute are these two?!?!? I am so lucky that they are mine...and I am so lucky that they love each other SO much! Isaac has also become very independent and will not let anyone feed him anymore. Apparently he is now a big boy!Well, that's pretty much it from this past month. Nothing too exciting...but I'm sure we'll have a lot more going in December! After all, it is our favorite month of the year!

Jana and Rob's Wedding

My beautiful cousin, Jana, got married to her sweetheart on November 12, 2011! It was a wonderful evening full of lots of love! Jana asked Leah to be one of the Flower Girls, and she was absolutely thrilled about it. She was beyond excited to wear her pretty dress and walk down the aisle throwing flowers...a little girls dream come true :). Congrats to Rob and Jana, and of course to their little bundle of joy Bodyn...they are a beautiful family and we are so happy for them!

Halloween ~ 2011

Happy Halloween!

This has got to be the best Halloween with the kids yet! Noah and Leah have been looking forward to this Halloween since November 1st of LAST YEAR! Getting dressed up and getting candy really got to them this year...and they LOVED it! I have never seen them run from house to house for candy so fast...you would have thought that they had never seen candy before! It was awesome to watch! And the best part was when Noah kept saying "This is the BEST.DAY.EVER!!" over and over and over again! Made me smile every time! It was a great Halloween in the Smith household all round. Until next year! {and, yes, we are already counting down the days :). }

Noah's 6th Halloween as SPIDERMAN

Leah's 4th Halloween as Alice in Wonderland

Isaac's 2nd Halloween as LION

And, of course, the best part was coming home and sorting through all the goods! I remember doing that when I was kid and thinking how awesome it was that all of this candy was mine! Little do they know that Doug and I sneak a treat or two when they're not looking. But don't tell them that ;).

Halloween Festivities

We had a lot of fun this Halloween...especially the days leading up to the BIG day! It has seriously been a countdown around here to when Halloween is *actually* going to be here. The kids have been so excited and were not at all patient to when they were going to be able to go trick-or-treating. Before the big day, we had a lot of fun doing some other fun Halloween-ey things.

Carving Pumpkins!

This year we decided to grow our own pumpkins! The kids had a blast watching them grow, and we were amazed that we grew six pumpkins from our one tiny plant. They didn't go completely orange because we were a bit late planting them...but we didn't care. We were happy with what we had :).
Isaac had an absolute blast watching us clean and carve the pumpkins. He wouldn't let his little green pumpkin out of his sight!
Noah was a wonderful helper and cleaned out 4 of the 6 pumpkins! I didn't mind one bit!Our creations. The "UTAH" pumpkin has been a hit in our neighborhood the past two years...I think that we'll make a tradition of carving this pumpkin every year! Go Utes!!

Halloween Party!

The Timothy Family hosted an awesome Halloween Party the day before the big day! Pretty much everyone dressed up, which made the party even more fun!

Our family all dressed up.Doug and I dressed up not knowing that our "dates" wouldn't even be a part of our family. Here's Doug, the Football Player, and our nephew, Alex, the Cheerleader! Love it!

Here's me and John dressed up as Hippies. Peace, man!The night was filled of great food, a pinata......and more yummy treats!

We had a great time! Here's all the little ones in their costumes...

Halloween Parade!

This year we got to experience our very first Halloween Parade at school, which was great fun! It was fun seeing all the darling costumes...some were seriously SO creative! Noah loved that there were three boys in his class that were Spiderman! My mom came down to watch the parade with us...and to watch Leah and Isaac while I went to help in Noah's class for their Halloween Party!

Noah's class all dressed up...Noah and I doing a craft at the party. We had a fabulous time and I was so glad that I was able to be there and help!

We had a wonderful time doing some fun stuff that lead up to the BIG night!
