S'mores
We have been having a lot of BBQs lately, and for dessert we have been roasting some marshmallows and making S'mores! They are our new favorite treat and they are gooooood! I think it's just great how the there is NO way that the kids can eat these without making a huge mess! That's why we always eat them outside...in our swimsuits ;). That way I can just spray them off when we're done! Easy cleanup :).
Oh, and Isaac looks forward to the day that he can have one too!

Here's a great Smores tip:
While you're roasting the marshmallow, take one of the graham cracker halves and place it next to the fire (on the rim of the fire pit or a rock or whatever, depends on the fire) with the chocolate on it. This way the chocolate starts to get soft (you may want to rotate occasionally to make sure that it begins to melt evenly or one side will be goo while the other is still hard), and when you finish assembling the smore you get 100% gooey insides and it's sooooo yummy! Try it!
great idea to eat them outside in siwmming suits. ha ha. love leah's suit by the way. i have made smores wrapped in tinfoil too, either on the bbq, fire, or oven. so yummy i agree. love how they get all melty and gooey in the tin foil.
sorry, i hate to leave another comment and clog up the comment section. but what i meant by "wrapped in tinfoil TOO" didn't sound right. ha ha. i meant I have made them wrapped in tinfoil in addition to also making them the old fashioned way. both ways are yummy, but tinfoil gets all melty and gooey.
Oh my goodness Angie! I cannot believe how big Isaac looks already! Isn't it crazy how fast they grow? He is so cute!
