Story Time

This morning Noah decided to read his "Choo Choo" book to Leah. Now, isn't that so sweet! He is such a good big brother to Leah, and I know that she appreciated it because she didn't even cry when he was shoving the book in her face!

Congratulations Alli!!!

Doug's sister, Allison, graduated from BYU on Friday! We are so proud of her and this great accomplishment! Alli even wore some red earrings on behalf of her U of U family members...now, that is what I call love! Congratulations!!!

Leah ~ One Month

I can't believe that our little girl is already one month old!!! The time goes by way too fast, that's for sure! We have cherished every moment with our sweet little angel and we are so thankful to have her in our family. She has been such a good baby and she is so patient, which is wonderful since we have a very active little TWO year old running around the house playing!

Leah is starting to become very active and she loves to kick her legs and push up on her feet when we stand her up. She is starting to hold her head up when we put her on our shoulder. She loves to look around and observe everything around her {during the few hours that she is awake, that is!}. Just this past week she has been starting to smile, which is absolutely amazing! It just warms our heart when she gives us a quick little smile!

Leah is also growing like crazy!! She is a GREAT little eater and she lets you know when she is hungry! That is probably the only time that she really cries! Noah had his two year doctor appointment last week, so I weighed Leah while we were there and she was 8 lbs 15 oz, so I am thinking that she is just over 9 pounds right now. She is very long, just like her brother...I think our kids are going to be tall ones!!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Leah from this past month...

Happy Birthday Noah...Part 2

We had a little Birthday Party for Noah yesterday and we had such a wonderful time! I LOVE birthdays because it gives us the chance to get together with family and friends!

Noah had such a fun time having us sing Happy Birthday to him, blowing out the candle on his cake, and eating cake!!

He also enjoyed opening his presents...thank you everyone for all of the fun gifts!

The party was topped off with the breaking of the pinata! Here is Noah hitting the pinata...good form!!!

Thank you to everyone who came to Noah's party...we had such a wonderful time and we look forward to the next party :)!!!

Noah's Second Year With Pictures

Here is a slide show with some of my favorite pictures from this past year. I can't believe how much he has grown in one year! Enjoy :).

Happy Birthday Noah

Yesterday was Noah's SECOND Birthday! I cannot believe that my baby boy is 2 years old! The time has gone by way too fast! It really does seem like he was just barely born! Now he is running around evertwhere, talking up a storm, getting into everything, etc... He is such a wonderful little boy and I am amazed each and every day at how much he is learning and growing. He such a happy and loving little boy and we are so grateful to have him in our family!!!

To celebrate his birthday, we decided to take Noah to the Discovery Gateway Museum (formally known as The Children's Museum) up in Salt Lake. Noah LOVED the water exhibit and insisted on spending most of his time there. He loved watching the water go up and down on the water wheel and he liked floating his boat in the water.

There was an outdoor patio at the museum with an actual Life Flight Helicopter for the kids to play in. There were a lot of kids there playing on it, but Noah was so patient and he just stood there and waited for the kids to get out so that he could get in and play. He thought that the helicopter was pretty neat, which it was :).

Leah had a really fun time at the museum too...well, she had a really good time sleeping! She slept the entire time that we were there! She is such a good little girl :).

Afterwards, we went to The Pie {our favorite} and then went to my parent's house to open some gifts and have some cupcakes. My mom and dad spoiled Noah with some fun toys, which included a Fisher Price Internet Launch Pad {I can't believe that they make stuff like this for kids!! It is pretty neat!}.

My mom got some cupcakes from this cute little cupcake shop called So Cupcake {Check out their website and read the story behind their store...they have a very inspiring story.}. Now, Noah LOVES to sing Happy Birthday and he also LOVES to blow out candles, so this was a very special day for him! After singing Happy Birthday, he blew out the candles to eight cupcakes {I know he is only 2, but he thought it was so neat to blow out that many candles!}. Then Noah devoured an entire chocolate cupcake! They were quite yummy!!!

We had such a wonderful day today! We love you, Noah!!!

Snuggle Bugs

I took this picture of Noah and Leah in our bed last night. Noah loves to snuggle up next to Leah. They are so cute!! I just can't get enough of them!!!
Here are some more pictures from the past few days...

Doug and I think that Leah's middle name should be Sleepy or Snoozer...she seriously sleeps all of the time!

Noah so wanted to go outside and play today! What is up with this weather?!?!? We want some warm, sunny weather so that we can go outside and play!

First Weeks With Leah

Well, we are all alive and well...we have survived the first 2 weeks with a new baby! Doug was able to take all of last week off of work, which was wonderful! It was great because he was able to spend quality time with Noah, which Noah loved!!! Noah and I {and Leah} were very sad once he went back to work, but we are managing with out him, although we would much rather have him home with us :).

Leah is a wonderful baby! She sleeps all of the time, she barely cries, she is content and happy whenever she is awake...it's wonderful {knock on wood!!!}! She even sleeps through the night...yes, that's right, I have to wake her up to eat! What more could I ask for?!?!? Noah was a very demanding baby, so having a very mellow baby is fabulous! I am so grateful that she is this way because it makes it so much easier for me to give Noah the attention that he needs. Leah will just sit in my arms and fall asleep while I am on the floor playing with Noah. You would think that the Noah's loud voice would keep her awake, but she just sleeps through it!

Noah is adjusting so well to Leah. We did have a few moments of weakness the first day home, but other then that he has been great with her. He is very protective of her and he is constantly showering her with hugs and kisses. I know that these two are going to be the best of friends and I look forward to when Leah is old enough to play with Noah...it will be fun!!!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our first week home...

This was taken as soon as we got home from the hospital.

She is so cute!!!
More hugs and kisses for Baby Sister!
Mommy and her two precious babies! Oh, how I love these kids!!!
Here are all of the pictures from this past month. I will make sure to post pictures often. Enjoy!

Farm Country

Here is my last post before we become a family of FOUR!!!

Like I said in my previous post, I have been a little sad lately because I know that Noah is not going to be getting as much attention from me as he has over the past two years. I am actually feeling better about this due to a lot of people telling me that it is normal to feel that way (thank goodness!). Anyway, I have been giving Noah ten times the attention that I normally give him this week and I wanted to do something really fun with him that required getting out of the house and going somewhere. I have heard of Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point and I thought that this would be the perfect place to take Noah since he LOVES animals. He had such a wonderful time petting all of the animals and feeding the duckies! The Pony Ride was a huge hit, so much so that he went on it two times! Here are some pictures from our afternoon in Farm Country.

Noah wanting to climb in with the Baby Cows!!
Noah getting up close to the little goat.

Cute Noah!

I {Heart} Noah

Words cannot express how much I love this little boy. He has been the light of our lives for the past two years and I can truly say that it has been the best two years our lives {I am sure that Doug would agree}. He is such a lovable little guy and I adore how tender he is with everyone around him. He loves to give hugs and kisses to everyone and he loves to laugh and giggle, especially when I tickle him.

I have been feeling a little sad lately because I know that I am not going to be able to spend my time with Noah the way I have the past two years. I know that I am still going to be with him each and every day, but it is going to be different because now I will have two children that need my attention. It is hard because Noah is still so small to really understand what is going to happen this week. When we ask him "Where is your baby sister?", he comes over to me and kisses my belly. It is so precious! Noah is really good and soft around other baby's, so I am hoping that he is the same around his sister...only time will tell.

More then anything, I am so excited to have this baby girl and have her as part of our sweet family. I know that Noah is going to be the BEST Big Brother and I look forward to seeing how he interacts with his little sister.

I am going to take a break from blogging for the next little while so that I can spend time with my sweet little boy and sweet little girl. I will definitely keep everyone up to date once she is born by posting some pictures. My focus is going to be on my two little ones, and Doug, for the next while, but, like I said, I will keep everyone up to date :).

Baby Update ~ 38 Weeks

We went to the doctor this past Friday and everything is looking great with the baby. The doctor did an ultrasound to see how big she is right now, and, according to the machine, she is 7 pounds 10 ounces {give or take 10%}. She is smaller then Noah was, thank goodness, so they are not going to induce me really early. Instead, I am going to be induced 2 days before my actual due date....March 21! Now we just get to play the waiting game. Maybe she will come early, maybe she won't...we'll just have to wait and see. I am feeling well, although I am ready to have my body back! I am also tired of waking up every hour during the middle of the night...oh, wait, this is just the beginning of sleepless nights, right? We will keep everyone updated :).
